Job Summary

Ultrasound Charge Technologist is a part of a multidisciplinary team and will provide leadership in the area of Ultrasound within Diagnostic Imaging Department. Performing all general Ultrasound duties, and other duties as assigned, Ultrasound Charge Technologist will aid in patient flow, accountable for all patient care related activities and oversee the quality management of the Ultrasound services within the organization. The role must function by modelling a collaborative team-based approach and perform in accordance with current standards of practice.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound program or recognized equivalent
• Must be registered and in good standing with CMRITO
• A minimum of 5 years current experience as a Sonographer
• Must have PLI - Professional Liability Insurance
• Current hospital experience is required
• Provide orientation for students and teach, monitor and evaluate clinical skills of Sonography students
• Demonstrates leadership and superior interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment
• Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team
• Superior organizational skills, multi-tasking abilities with good attention to detail
• Experience with PACS and HIS systems is preferred
• Proven ability to attend work regularly as per the Attendance Support Policy #HA30 and Procedure #HA35.

As a condition of employment, you are required to submit proof of COVID-19 vaccination to the Hospital’s Occupational Health and Safety department. Successful candidates will be required to submit proof of COVID-19 vaccination (two doses) from the Ontario Ministry of Health website or other authorized source directly to the Occupational Health and Safety department.
