Job Summary

The Registered Dietitian works as a member of the Health Care Team to provide customer focused nutritional care which may include nutritional assessments, counselling and recommendations for diet modification, nutrition support, medications labs and IV’s. Please note that this position will take place in the RCU unit, at our finch site.

Skills & Abilities

• Minimum of two years clinical nutrition experience in an acute care hospital preferred
• Experience in critical care areas and ICU
• Demonstrates collaborative working relationships with interdisciplinary team members in both an ambulatory and in-patient environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, customer service and team, written and verbal communication skills.
• Supports and enables evidence-based practice in the professional milieu.
• Demonstrates a commitment to patient-centered care.
• Demonstrates critical thinking skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Word
• Demonstrates excellence in communication, both written and verbal
• Analysis / problem assessment
• Innovative and willing to learn
• Commitment to customer service and teamwork
• Demonstrates individual leadership skills

Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian in good standing with the College of Dietitians of Ontario

As a condition of employment, you are required to submit proof of COVID-19 vaccination to the Hospital’s Occupational Health and Safety department. Successful candidates will be required to submit proof of COVID-19 vaccination (two doses) from the Ontario Ministry of Health website or other authorized source directly to the Occupational Health and Safety department.
