Job Summary

RD to cover a variety of acute complex adult inpatient care areas including cardiac, cancer care, medicine, surgery and intensive care areas. Case load can vary through the week and could include patients who need nutritional assessment (including SGA), diet modifications and therapeutic diet teaching. Will include initiation, assessment and monitoring of enteral and parenteral care plans.

Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian in good standing with the College of Dietitians of Ontario
• Minimum of two years clinical nutrition experience in an acute care hospital preferred
• Experience should include independently managing complex acute patients including initiating and managing adult enteral and parental nutrition care plans
• Good time management and works independently
• Demonstrates collaborative working relationships with interdisciplinary team members in both an ambulatory and in-patient environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, customer service and team, written and verbal communication skills.
• Supports and enables evidence-based practice in the professional milieu.
• Demonstrates a commitment to patient-centred care.
• Demonstrates critical thinking skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Word
• Demonstrated excellence in communication, both written and verbal
• Demonstrated problem assessment skills
• Demonstrated commitment to customer service and teamwork
• Demonstrated individual leadership skills
