Job Summary

• RN Certificate of Registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario
• BCLS current certification
• Three years’ experience in acute mental health (recent)
• CNA Mental Health certificate preferred
• Crisis prevention institute certificate or equivalent
• Brief solution focused therapy certificate preferred
• Ability to rapidly shift workload priorities
• Experience in assisting with ECT treatments and recovery
• Experience in recovery focused model of care
• Excellent knowledge of the Mental Health Act
• Excellent understanding of psychotropic medications
• Demonstrates excellence in communication, both written and verbal
• Demonstrates facilitation, problem solving skills and conflict resolution
• Demonstrated excellence in communication, both written and verbal
• Demonstrated problem assessment skills
• Demonstrated commitment to customer service and teamwork
• Demonstrated individual leadership skills
