Job Summary

The Preferred Accommodation (PA) Representative is a non-clinical member of the patient care team who is responsible for ensuring that Southlake patients’ preferred accommodation requests are being met to the best of the hospital’s abilities. The PA Representative will communicate Southlake’s Preferred Accommodation program as well as ensure that all the required documentation and financial information is complete.

Qualifications

• Post secondary education- marketing and sales background preferred
• A minimum of two years recent experience in a customer service role with demonstrated computer proficiency (face-to-face experience required)
• Previous experience dealing with patients
• Hospital and health care facility experience
• Excellent communication, time management and interpersonal skills
• Ability to pay close attention to details
• Must be flexible
• Must be willing to work required shifts
• Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position
• Highly creative and innovative problem solving and solution oriented skills
• Outstanding customer service skills, strong influencing, investigative and soft selling abilities
• Ability to effectively negotiate financial transactions and foster positive relationships with patients, families, clinical and non- clinical staff members
• Innovative and willing to learn
• Commitment to customer service and teamwork
• Demonstrates individual leadership skills
• Proven ability to attend work regularly as per the Attendance Support Policy #HA30 and Procedure #HA35
