Job Summary

The Social Worker provides services to transitional-aged outpatients (18 to 25 years) as part of the inter-professional team. The Social Worker has the clinical skills and experience to assess, plan, coordinate and provide treatment and support services to Clinic clients. S/he functions as an inter-professional team member, providing a range of clinical services, including assessment, group, individual, couple and/or family therapy where indicated, as well as community liaison and collateral work regarding clients. S/he role models professional and organizational core competencies.


• Masters’ Degree in Social Work required
• Experience relevant to working in an Eating Disorders Program.
• Knowledge and experience in current evidence-based eating disorder assessment and treatment methods including CBT and Family Based Treatment.
• Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered / systemic treatment orientation.
• Demonstrated collaborative working relationship with inter-professional team members.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Registration with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.
• Demonstration of acceptable knowledge of social work principles, methods and techniques and ability to apply them in an outpatient Mental Health setting
• Ability to work flexibly in an inter-professional team setting.
• Must be available for some early morning and / or evening work.
• S/he models both professional and organizational core competencies.
• Demonstrated excellence in communication, both written and verbal
• Demonstrated problem assessment skills
• Demonstrated commitment to customer service and teamwork
• Demonstrated individual leadership skills
