Job Summary

We are seeking a full time Registered Respiratory Therapist to work in all areas of the Operating Room. This position involves working 8/10 and 12 hour shifts with on call night and weekends


• RRT registered with the College of Respiratory Therapists in the General Class
• Practice according to the standards and guidelines set out by the College
• Registered Respiratory Therapist
• Registered with the C.R.T.O.
• Practice according to the standards and guidelines set out by the College
• Participates in the CRTO’s Quality Assurance Program
• Knowledge of Anaesthesiology, basic hemodynamic principles and Anaesthesia equipment to be operated
• Multi-service Operating Room experience within the last 5 years is preferred
• Minimum 2 years recent critical care experience an asset
• Demonstrated competence in arterial line insertion required
• BCLS required
• ACLS preferred
• Demonstrates excellence in communication, both written and verbal
• Demonstrates willingness to work in a interprofessional environment
• Commitment to interprofessional teaching and learning
• Analysis / problem assessment
• Innovative and willing to learn
• Commitment to customer service and teamwork
• Demonstrates individual leadership skills
• Proven ability to attend work regularly as per the Attendance Support Policy #HA30 and Procedure #HA35
