Job Summary

Reporting to the Manager, Delivery, in the Office of Strategy Management (OSM), the Project Manager will be responsible for leading, coordinating and supporting a variety of strategic projects and planning activities to advance Southlake’s new 2019-2024 Strategic Plan. The Project Manager will use project management best practices to drive key corporate initiatives in collaboration with organizational leadership. The Project Manager will interact with the Senior Leadership Team, Clinical, Operational and Physician Leaders across the organization


• Liaise with leadership to provide strategic planning and project management support for corporate initiatives in line with Southlake’s Strategic Plan
• Lead, organize and facilitate project-related meetings, develop project reports, presentations, statistics and other related documents, as required
• Develop tools and templates to support project management best practices to support strategic projects
• Develop frameworks for project evaluation and monitoring, including indicator development
• Liaise with managers who are responsible for projects, and other hospital staff to effectively completed assignments
• Ensure project deliverables are met on time, within budget and within scope.
• Initiate and maintain communication with all project stakeholders
• Proactively identify any project risks and recommend solutions and mitigation strategies
• Evaluate and assess each project closely to identify lessons learned and best practices for implementation in future projects
• During critical times of any project implementation, may be required to work off-hours and/or non-business hours


• Completion of a recognized university degree required
• 2-3 years of healthcare experience preferred
• PMP certification required
• Demonstrated knowledge developing and implementing change management plans in the health care environment
• Sound organizational, documentation and planning skills with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet conflicting deadlines are essential
• Advanced proficiency with MS Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Outstanding interpersonal, influencing and communication skills to build strong relationships, gain credibility and network effectively with all levels of the organization and with external partners
• Systems thinker, with experience leading projects and initiatives aligned with strategic directions

• Proven experience in needs assessment, analytical, problem-solving and documentation skills.
• Demonstrated understanding of interprofessional collaboration and education.
• Proven organizational skills, and ability to handle multiple assignments and priorities.
• Ability to perform duties in a professional and courteous manner and produce high quality work while meeting deadlines in accordance to Southlake Regional Health Centre standards.
• Demonstrated excellence in communication, both written and verbal

• Demonstrated individual leadership skills
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Proven ability to attend work regularly as per the Attendance Support Policy #HA30 and Procedure #HA35
